The new SMSF RG146 accreditation – what it means for SMSF Advisors.
The upcoming changes to the current RG146 accreditation will include a new, yet-to-be-announced SMSF specialist subset qualification to ensure increased competency for SMSF Advisors. When this new qualification comes into play, all SMSF advisors will need to be qualified to advise their clients on anything to do with Self Managed Super Funds.
In fact, once the new rules are in place, an advisor will NOT be able to advise on SMSFs unless they are fully accredited to do so. Now more than ever, it’s never been more important for SMSF advisors to stay educated and informed.
